Burns Supper!

The Scots amongst us here in Lyon felt we should do something Burns-y, so thanks so a couple of haggis's and a turnip from Donald and Bruce, we had our very own Burns Supper!

To a Haggis - Stephen, Jill and Phil.
The table before everyone arrived - thanks again for the scotland flags dad and uncle a!
Me, Stephen and Silke, an honorary Scot!
The apple pie i made - ta to maw for the tin and pastry mix! it was ace!
Everyone around the table eating the carrot and courgette soup Jill made - Stephen, Silke, Phil, Morvyn, Ausgar (honorary scot from germany!) Gary and Jill.

I think we did Burns proud!!

Glasgow New year

Back Home in Glasvegas again!

Me, Elspeth and Sonia reunited for a night out on the town sometime inbetween christmas and new year.

Alison and Fiona (Jills friends), Jill and Andy in wetherspoons before hitting the garage!

Me and Elspeth on hogmanay - in a pub called uisge beathe (i think!) in the west end - very nice and scottish with a piper and everything at midnight.

Happy new year!!

Andy, me, Elspeth and Ally (Elspeths boyfriend) at New Year.

After that it was quickly back to Franceland for exams!

Paris at christmas

It has indeed been a while since i've posted on this... notably because of exams... Luckily they all seem to have gone well, so back to my normal life of, as Uncle A put it "drinking and noshing"! Firstly, heres some photos from just before christmas. Andy came to Lyon for a few days then we got the TGV up to Paris to stay with his brother Colin before flying home to Ecosse from there.

This is me on the Champs Elysee, having just drunk an 8euro pint - i don't think i've ever been this cold before...!

Notre Dame a Noel - i don't think its quite so obvious from the photo but the christmas tree was absolutely beautiful.

You can take the boy out of Oban but you can't take Oban out of the boy...!

Feeling christmassy!

The Sacre Coeur - token obvious Paris photo.

So a great time was had by all, yet again. Colin has a beautiful big Paris-y flat near Bastille, which we made full use of!
