This is my second attempt at leaving a comment. Due to technology failure (mine, not this website) it all went horribly wrong the first time! Anyway it is great that you have this website, Mairi. A good way of keeping in touch when you are in Lyon. Once I have mastered posting comments, I may try texting!
so now I know what a blogsplot is! This is a good idea. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of life in Lyon - the library, the lecture theatres, the desk in your room etc.! do you know this is from me or do I have to put "from mum"?
off to franceland soon...i'm jealous! just to make sure u cope with the funny forgien lingo a few phrases i have picked up which might help out! a handy phrase: cinq eleve the place to be (commonly used word by young french folk!): boum
We've just read all these lively comments, and won't try too hard to keep up ! AND won't put 'u' where 'you' applies !! Pause while we think of a pithy French phrase..... Well, maybe next time.
Va bien ! A la visite lyonnaise. Amities (you just might get an acute one of these days.)
hope all is well, as well as looking younger at that celeigh (sorry to all the scots who can spell) i also got told i looked like Charlotte Church, Hah!!
Anyhoo, everything looks fine and dandy to me, much better than a fish restuarant in Callendar methinks................ :( xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hmmm..... Far be it for me to put a dampener on this 'blogsite' (or whatever it is) but I was rather hoping for some interesting info regarding French Law - perhaps a little gem or two from that Civil Code of theirs. Instead the emphasis seems to be on going out to this or that local beauty spot, bar or the like, scoffing some nosh, washing it down with copious alcohol and generally having a good time. Would it be possible to have a little more attention to the job in hand? It's a 'year out' not a 'year off' after all!
Some reasoned comments on The Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Directive, European Journal Vol 17A para 65(c)(iv) 238960 would be very useful indeed. Thanks, in anticipation.
Encore une fois..........encore un drinking establishment a lyon!!

sounds like you are having a great time anyway - I am certain that you will be able to provide a very knowlegeable pub tour when we come in just less than 2 weeks time!
